Intention of the day: It's okay to ask for help from your friends, family and the Universe
Morning writing: The lesson stresses that it's important to ask for help. It unburdens me and relieves me of stress. And sometimes, you have an issue and you can only ask the Universe for help. In those cases, it's vital to trust and let the Universe work on the issue. Don't go back and forth, trying to handle it yourself, then leave it to Universe, then take it back again... Trust. Just trust and faith.
I wanted share what happened to me yesterday. I pulled that Page of Pentacles and wondered if one of the odd jobs I had reached out to would come to fruition. Not exactly. What did happen was the Ex texted me that his job was looking for someone to do some design work! I told him I was interested, and it was pouring rain so I figured I'd ask if he could pick me up at the train... and he did! We talked, we do enjoy catching up with each other I think. It's really a shame that things worked out the way they did, but they did. But anyway, I was telling him about my new bracelet and how I've been learning about being a witch. He seemed kind of impressed, especially after I gave him some examples of my intuition at work. Then when I was leaving he asked, "Please don't put a spell on me." I was insulted. Here he goes again, being a self-centered, non-trusting douchebag. Smh. I explained to him about how what he sees in the movies isn't real, how witches have an ethics code too... and that's not even how magick works. I don't put spells ON people. I am learning how to put a charm on myself, make an amulet... attract the things I want to come to ME. Hopefully he understands that I'm not sitting around writing a love spell to bring him back. I am the one who dumped HIM! Ugh. It was a nice reminder that even tho we get along sometimes, there is a good reason why we are not together anymore.
Tarot Reading:
XVI The Tower (disaster, upheaval, sudden change, revelation)
OK so my spirit guides knew what I just wrote, obviously, and I believe this card is a recognition that I am changing. I'm not upset about the Ex's behavior yesterday, and I'm proud of myself that I feel deep down inside that I do not want him back again this time. He would have to be an entirely different person on the inside for me to be truly attracted to him. I'd rather attract someone better instead of trying to improve that stubborn guy. He needs to go on his own path, and I have finally accepted this. I believe the Tower is symbolizing revelation more than disaster. On Biddy Tarot it says, "the Tower card represents an awakening and is about inspiration, freedom, reality and the release from bondage." This is how I perceive my reading today.
